Easy booking, clear options

I used Ferryscanner to book a ferry ticket from Piraeus to Naxos, and the experience was really smooth. The search engine laid out all the available routes and ferry companies clearly, which was a big help in comparing prices and departure times. I opted for a high-speed ferry ticket and an open deck ticket for flexibility. The e-ticket process was straightforward; I received it almost instantly via email, which made check-in at the port a breeze. Customer support was also responsive when I had a quick question about baggage allowances. Overall, the quality of service felt very reliable, and the usability of their site was top-notch. It definitely helped me understand what to expect at the port.

Got my tickets, no fuss

Booked some conventional ferry tickets for a trip to Paros through these guys. It was pretty simple, just put in where I wanted to go and when, and it gave me a bunch of choices. Picked one, paid, and the tickets popped up in my email. No drama, just got the job done. Felt good to have that sorted without any headaches.

Solid deal on island hopping

I was really trying to save some cash on my Greek island hopping. Found a pretty good deal on Ferryscanner for multi-trip tickets. It felt like I got good value for money, especially compared to booking each leg separately. Practical and budget-conscious me was happy.

Good value, minor issue

I booked a return ticket from Athens to Santorini, including a car ferry ticket, through Ferryscanner. The price comparison feature was quite good, helping me find a decent deal. The booking process itself was relatively smooth, and I received the e-tickets promptly. However, I did notice that the information about specific port parking options could have been a bit more detailed on their site; I had to do some extra searching for that. Delivery of the tickets was instant, as they were e-tickets, which is convenient. Overall, the value was there, and the main service worked well, but a little more pre-trip info would be helpful.

Are there student discounts available on Ferryscanner? Trying to save some cash for my trip to Greece.

A Alex T. 2 weeks ago
I'm almost positive they do. I remember seeing options for student fares when I was checking tickets to Crete last year.

R Rachel Lopez 2 weeks ago
Yeah, if you select 'student' as a passenger type, it usually applies the discount automatically if available for that route/operator. You'll need to show your student ID at the port though.

Anyone know if Ferryscanner is cool for booking island hopping trips? Like multiple islands in one go?

Z Zach Parker 3 weeks ago
Yup, definitely. I did a whole itinerary last summer, Mykonos-Paros-Naxos, all through them. It was pretty seamless.

They do! You can just add more legs to your journey when you're searching, it's pretty straightforward.

My travel plans might change. What's the deal with cancelling a booking on Ferryscanner? Is it a huge hassle or pretty easy?

N Nathan Roberts 1 month ago
I had to cancel one time, and it wasn't too bad. There are fees though, depends on how close to departure you are and the operator, I think.

B Brian Anderson 4 weeks ago
It's not instant, you usually have to submit a request. And yeah, read the fine print on the cancellation policy for your specific ticket because it varies.

Hey, thinking of booking a ferry from Athens to Santorini next month. How long does it usually take to get the e-tickets after booking?

R Richard N. 1 month ago
Mine were pretty much instant, like, within a few minutes they were in my inbox. Super quick.

B Brandon King 1 month ago
Yeah, usually they come through right away. Just make sure to check your spam folder too, just in case, but mine always show up fast.

Can you book cabins for overnight ferries on Ferryscanner, or just regular seats?

B Brittany Roberts 1 week ago
Yeah, absolutely. When you're picking your ticket type, it'll show options for cabins if they're available on that ferry. Done it a few times.
2
E Elizabeth T. 1 week ago
Definitely, you can book cabins. Just select it during the booking process. They have different types too, like inside/outside, if the ferry offers them.

Is Ferryscanner better than Ferryhopper for Greek ferries? Heard mixed things.

J Jeff Johnson 4 weeks ago
Honestly, they're both good. I usually check both and go with whoever has the better price for my specific route. Sometimes one has a deal the other doesn't.

A Amber K. 4 weeks ago
I've used both extensively. Ferryscanner often has a slightly wider range of operators for some routes in my experience, but Ferryhopper's interface can be a bit cleaner. It's a toss-up, really.
